Trouble finding where you got that image from?

Finding similar images on the internet that have been stolen or copied can be hard to find as it is not like text which can be easily found with any search engine.

Some reasons that you may need to find similar images on the internet include finding copies of your images, finding the source of the images you have and finding other versions of the images you have.

In this post you will learn how to find similar images on the internet using a website called TinEye (http://tineye.com)

Step 1:
Go to TinEye (http://tineye.com)

Step 2:
Use the “Upload an image” box if you wish to browse for an image on your computer then click search or paste the URL of the image into the second box and click search if the image is hosted on a website.

Step 3:
A results page should appear after clicking on “Search”. The results page contains a list of all the possible matches. It includes links to the website and specific location of the image.

Concept Map

1. Create a concept map
Get out a pen and paper or use a computer to plan your story or article. There are many free programs such as FreeMind that also create concept maps. Concept Maps are quick ways to plan and should get you back on track most of the time.

2. Take a Walk
Taking a walk outside allows you mind to refresh and relax. Some people even find their best ideas while taking a walk in the city or park.

3. Dream!
Dreaming is known to produce great ideas. Some famous authors even wrote books based on their dreams.

4. Just Write
Get a blank piece of lined paper and start to write about anything. In this activity you can write about whatever you want. It does not have to be related with the article or story you are writing.

5. Read
Read one of your favorite books for inspiration.

Scribd

Scribd is a social publishing website. It currently allows users within the United States to publish and sell their work online. According to the Scribd website it creates a index of all the words used in your work for search engine optimization.

WordPress
http://wordpress.com/
WordPress and many other blogging platforms allow users to create pages and write a book online. For more information go to the WordPress support page.

Lulu
http://www.lulu.com/
Lulu allows authors to publish and sell their book online. One of the advantages you receive from using Lulu is access to the marketplace. There are currently no set-up fees.

CopyGator (http://www.copygator.com) is free online service that finds plagiarized or quoting blog posts using your RSS feed.

According to the CopyGator website it gets data from two million blog feeds and compares your posts other blogs to find a similar copy.

It is very handy if you own a blog and have found plagiarized blog posts.
