1. Create a concept map
Get out a pen and paper or use a computer to plan your story or article. There are many free programs such as FreeMind that also create concept maps. Concept Maps are quick ways to plan and should get you back on track most of the time.

2. Take a Walk

Taking a walk outside allows you mind to refresh and relax. Some people even find their best ideas while taking a walk in the city or park.

3. Dream!
Dreaming is known to produce great ideas. Some famous authors even wrote books based on their dreams.

4. Just Write
Get a blank piece of lined paper and start to write about anything. In this activity you can write about whatever you want. It does not have to be related with the article or story you are writing.

5. Read
Read one of your favorite books for inspiration.
